Hi there, welcome to my tiny corner of the web

I’ve been told that I ask good questions, am relentlessly detail-oriented, and deeply care about designing to improve people’s lives.

From Patient Care to UX Design

I’m a methodical person by nature and admire the logic of science and medicine, attaining a Bachelor’s in biology from UC Irvine. It was easier in my past life to identify as “left-brained” to conform to the data-focused individuals also pursuing a career in healthcare. The topics I’ve grown to care most about, however, are rooted in arts and the human experience. For me, UX design is analogous to the brain’s corpus callosum, connecting our two hemispheres together - It’s the happiest medium where my logic and creativity can coexist.

With a 3.5-year background working in healthcare as a pediatric medical assistant and clinical coordinator, I am no stranger to collaborating, empathizing, and problem-solving.  Working directly with patients has developed my strong skills of clear communication and listening with intent. Although I’ve decided to pivot in a new path, people will always be at the heart of what I do.

As a designer, I strive for simplicity, honesty, and elegance. I aim to design products that save brain power 🙂

Fun facts about me:

  • I was named after Connie Chung and therefore part of “Generation Connie.” There’s a New York Times Article about it that you can check out!

  • I was an avid Neopets player back in the day, and still admire its “vintage-web” design. My deep nostalgia stems from the fact that I got my first taste of coding and web design through Neopets.

When I’m not designing, you can find me...

  • Drinking milk tea, matcha, or coffee

  • Going to concerts where I can sing along to every word

  • Watching reality TV
