Hi there, welcome to my tiny corner of the web!

I’ve been told that I ask good questions, am relentlessly detail-oriented, and deeply care about designing to improve people’s lives. This is my story from patient care to design :)
A background in healthcare
I’m a methodical person by nature, attaining a Bachelor’s in biology from UC Irvine. It was easier in my past life to identify as “left-brained” - the topics I’ve grown to care most about, however, are rooted in arts and the human experience.
Working directly with patients
With a 4-year background working in healthcare as a pediatric medical assistant and clinical coordinator, I am no stranger to collaborating, empathizing, and problem-solving.  Working directly with patients has developed my strong skills of clear communication and listening with intent.
But I wanted more…
Although I enjoyed working in healthcare, I sensed that my ability to fully embrace my creativity within the context of medicine was limited. Unlike healthcare’s individual-focused impact, I wanted to improve lives on a much larger scale.
A fascination with EPIC led me to UX
As an MA, I was intrigued by the intricacies of our electronic health record system (EPIC). Its complex workflows for providers and healthcare workers led me to explore UX design.
Making it happen
When I discovered UX Design, I felt that it was the happiest medium where my logic and creativity can coexist. I found a space where my healthcare background and passion for connecting with people intersected seamlessly.

to my advantage, I was able to leverage my empathy, problem-solving, & communication skills to expedite my UX career.

Although I’ve decided to pivot to a new path, people will always be at the heart of what I do.

Fun facts

  • I was named after Connie Chung and therefore part of “Generation Connie.” There’s a New York Times Article about it that you can check out!

  • I was an avid Neopets player back in the day, and still admire its “vintage-web” design. My deep nostalgia stems from the fact that I got my first taste of coding and web design through Neopets.
